Adriana Lemus’ work ranges from abstract to realistic pieces inspired by the figure. She works primarily in ceramic sculpture and painting and is currently working on a series of figure paintings and abstract ceramic sculptures, exploring ways to empower the female figure. Born in San Luis Obispo, CA, Adriana was raised by artistic parents. Her father’s work has been a huge inspiration for her own work. She graduated May of 2015 with a B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley. She has shown in San Luis Obispo, Oakland, and multiple times at the Worth Ryder Art Gallery at UC Berkeley. Currently, Adriana is teaching a weekly art class with Latino artists in Paso Robles, CA, through People Self Help Housing and San Luis Obispo Museum of Art.
