Join us for our first night of drinking and drawing, where Jose Lemus will guide you through two hours of drawing from a live model while you sip on some delicious wine from our shop! This is for beginners and advanced students. We will provide the model, easels, and your first glass of wine. If you’re a beginner, there is an option to purchase materials, which will include a pad of drawing paper and two charcoal pencils. Otherwise, we ask that you bring your own materials to use during the class.
Jose Lemus’ artist work is primarily focused in life figure drawing, teaching various forms of art, developing innovative design products, production of documentary films and outreach work within diverse communities. Born in Mexico City, grew up in Southern California, served in the military during Vietnam War then attended California State Polytechnic University where he received his degree in Architecture. Jose is currently working on documentary films, art related furniture design and facilitates Wednesday Night Life drawing at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art.
The Station is San Luis Obispo’s oldest gas station re-imagined into a mixed use space for work, events, and a curated wine & goods shop. Wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages available throughout the two hour workshop. Guests must be 21 and over to attend this session.
Due to limited seating and high demand of workshop tickets, we have a 48 hour cancellation policy to receive a refund or to reschedule.
