On the eve of the release of the first 2017 Beaujolais wines (the Nouveau est arrivée! … almost), join us for an in-depth look at six of the ten (yes, there are TEN!) Crus of the region. We’ll discuss the difference between these wines and their less-expensive, mass-produced, bubblegum-fruity cousin as we delve deeper in to the site specifics of each Cru and the typical flavor profiles that will help you navigate your wine shop shelves or restaurant wine lists when ordering Cru Beaujolais. We’ll briefly go over the past, present, and the future of the region, and we’ll discuss vintage variation. Oh and we’ll drink a lot of Cru Beaujolais. So there’s that too.
